Craven Arena – Fun Showing Show

Join us for the very first Craven Arena Fun Showing Show!
Everyone is welcome — from Shetlands to Shires! Come along and enjoy a fantastic day of friendly competition and fun.
All classes will be placed up to 5th, with championships awarded in each section. The Tiny Tots Parade will be open to all who competed in the Tiny Tots classes.

Full schedule:
Ring A – In-hand to Start promptly at 9am
1A – Young stock : 1, 2 & 3 Year Old: Colt, filly or gelding. Plaited or unplaited. Age as of 1st January 2025. All Competitors to wear a helmet, you will be asked to leave the class if not wearing a helmet.
2A – Part Breed: Any Age or height. Any Breed.
3A – Coloured In hand (Native & non-native) : Open to any horse or pony that is piebald, skewbald, roan, dun or spotted. Plaited, traditional or hogged.
4A – Cobs in hand: Traditional or hogged.
5A – M&M Small Breed: Open to pure or part bred Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A & B. Youngstock and stallions welcome. Stallions to wear correct stallion dress. Pure bred to be shown in natural state.
6A – M&M Large Breed: Open to pure or part bred Welsh C & D, Connemara, Fell, Highland and Dales. Youngstock and stallions welcome. Stallions to wear correct stallion dress. Pure bred to be shown in natural state.
7A – Retrained Race horse
8A – Best Condition: Horse/Pony any age, any height.
9A – Veteran: Open to any horse/pony aged 15years and over on 1st January 2025
In hand championship Open to all 1st & 2nd Prize winners in Classes 1A to 9A
Ring C – Tiny Tots In hand to start promptly at 9am (Open to handlers under the age of 7)
All handlers must wear helmets, this includes adults assisting. You will be asked to leave the class if you are not wearing a helmet. Rosettes will be awarded to all.
1C – Prettiest Pony (Not to exceed 148cm)
2C – Best Tail
3C – Pony Judge would like to take home
Tiny Tots in hand parade ( To
Open to all that competed in the Tiny Tots classes. In the parade they will be asked to do a small show which will consist of walk and an optional trot. They will be judged on overall presentation of the pony and handler.
Ring C – Lead Rein / First Ridden To follow on directly from Tiny Tots (Open to riders under the age of 12)
All handlers must wear helmets. You will be asked to leave the class if you are not wearing a helmet. Those leading must be over 16 years of age. Rosettes will be awarded to all.
4C – Lead Rein equitation
5C – Lead rein M&M
6C – Lead rein Plaited pony: To not exceed 148cm
7C – Walk and trot only: Open to lead rein & First ridden
8C – First Ridden: No Lead reins. This class is open to any riders off lead rein under the age of 12
9C – Best Turned out: Open to lead rein & First ridden
Lead rein / First Ridden championship Open to all 1st & 2nd Prize winners in Classes 4C to 9C
Ring B – Ridden section Not to start before 1pm
1B – Best Turned Out
2B – Novice ridden: Horse/Pony any height. Rider any age. Horse/pony to have not placed 1st in any ridden showing class prior to 1st January 2025
3B – Ridden Part Bred: Any Age or height. Any Breed.

5B – Ridden Cob: Traditional or hogged.
6B – Ridden Veteran: Open to any horse/pony aged 15 years and over on 1st January 2025

9B – Junior Equitation: This Class is open to any rider under age of 18 as of 1st January 2025. To be ridden in snaffle bridles only. No spurs and will be judged solely on equitation.
10B – Senior Equitation: To be ridden in snaffle bridles only. No spurs and will be judged solely on equitation.
Ridden championship Open to all 1st & 2nd Prize winners in Classes 1B to 10B
