Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using our facilities, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions, which are designed to ensure the safety, welfare, and enjoyment of all visitors, animals, and staff. These provisions outline important rules regarding entry, equine health, arena usage, parking, cleanliness, cancellations, and more. Please read them carefully before booking or attending any event, clinic, or hire session. Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

General

Craven Arena reserve the right to refuse entry or hire without stating a reason andmay cancel the hire and all rights of admission.

Smoking and vaping are strictly forbidden in the stable area and all buildings. A designated smoking area is provided and must be used. Cigarette butts must be disposed of safely in the bins provided.

Parents or guardians are responsible for their children, who must be supervised at all times.

All attendees must take reasonable precautions to avoid accidents and must follow the instructions ofofficials and stewards.

Craven Arena and Craven Equine accept no responsibility or liability for injury, accident, damage, illness, or loss to any person, property, or animal. Entry or hire is conditional upon indemnifying the organisers against any legal action arising from any accident.

Equine Health and Welfare

Horses and ponies must come from disease-free yards. There must have been no confirmed cases of strangles at the yard in the previous 8 weeks, and no outstanding veterinary advice preventing travel to Craven Arena.

Equine vaccinations must be up to date within the last 12 months.

Any individual causing distress or suffering to an animal will be asked to leave and may be reported to the authorities.

Encouraging behaviour that negatively impacts animal welfare will result in immediate termination ofthe current and any future hires.

Arena Access and Use

Access to the indoor arena on foot is through the gallery and internal arena door.

Access on horseback is through the external roller shutter door in the outdoor arena. This door must remain open during hire as it serves as the only horse fire escape.

Horses must always be supervised and never left unattended in the arena, car park, or horsebox/trailer.

Excessive noise that unsettles horses stabled near the arena may result in termination of hire.

Parking

Users may park in the Craven Equine car park or the Auction Mart car park.

All parking is at the user’s own risk. Riding in these areas is also at the user’s own risk.

Use of Equipment and Site

Users must respect all Craven Arena equipment and the site.

Any damage must be reported to the office as soon as possible.

Cleanliness and Droppings

All droppings, hay, and bedding must be picked up and placed in the wheelbarrows provided. This includes areas within the arena and car parks.

A £40 fine will be issued for droppings found on Craven Arena property.

Surveillance

The premises are under 24-hour CCTV surveillance

Arena Hire Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.

Any cancellations made prior to 48 hours of the booking are eligible for a full refund or transfer to another date.

If Craven Arena is required to cancel any hires or events due to adverse weather conditions, a full refund or transfer will be available.

  • No Refunds After Times Are Released
  • Once Clinic times are published, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including: Rider withdrawal for personal reasons
  • Horse injury or illness
  • Scheduling conflicts

Severe Weather Cancellations
If an event is cancelled due to severe weather, riders will be offered the choice of:

  • A full refund, or
  • Transferring their entry to another scheduled clinic
